George Newkirk is the author of Living with Agent Orange: Life and Times of a Marine Vietnam Veteran, a personal memoir about service, survival, brotherhood, faith, and the lifelong effects of the Vietnam War.

Born in the small coal-mining town of Martin, Utah, George was raised with strong values of hard work, loyalty, respect, and family. As a young man, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped his life forever.

After returning home, George faced the lasting effects of Agent Orange exposure, along with PTSD, diabetes, heart disease, multiple surgeries, and other serious medical battles. Through every challenge, he continued to rebuild his life with determination.

Beyond the military, George built a career, raised a family, and found freedom and brotherhood through motorcycles and fellow veterans. His story is one of courage, loss, resilience, and the strength to keep moving forward.

Living with Agent Orange is George’s testimony to the veterans who came home carrying wounds both seen and unseen.
